Alright a new weekend ? a new task at AMAL ACADEMY’s Fellowship :)

So this time the goal is to get the task done by using this so called “Pomodoro technique”. So what is it ? and what it’s for? hang on I was also at the same point last week.

Pomodoro is Italian for tomato. 🍅) This popular time management method asks you to alternate pomodoros — focused work sessions — with frequent short breaks to promote sustained concentration and stave off mental fatigue.

Actually its technique to “get your task done” by sitting fully focused for a few hours and doing it for 25 minutes intervals with 5 minute breaks between them. the classic

“Divide and Conquer” right? :)

Here are the rules for the game.

  1. Select a task(it can be any).
  2. Set the Pomodoro timer (alarm) to 25 minutes.
  3. Work on the task until the timer rings. If a distraction pops into your head, write it down, but immediately get back on the task
  4. After the timer tings, put a star (or a tick) on a piece of paper
  5. Take a short 5 minute break (maybe) give yourself a small treat :)
  6. Repeat steps 2–4
  7. After you have 4 ticks on your paper, you can either take a longer break (15–20 minutes), OR continue working on your task by going to step 2 until you complete your task.

I applied this technique on completing an online course.

My distractions were

  1. Phone notifications
  2. urge to use Instagram after a few minutes
  3. opening something completely irrelevant in new tab and spend hours on it.
  4. Sleep :( [cuz of Ramzan's schedule]

Yes it WAS difficult for me but was worth it. It got the job done and boosted the confidence multiple times than of just “completing” this course.

It helped me accomplish WAY lot more than I am able to do. Usually there are a lot of distractions and that Instant Gratification Monkey is also doing its job so I usually accomplish half of what I achieved today with Pomodoro technique.

And yes I WILL do this from now on to focus on my work and get exponentially better results.

So that was it we’ll meet again next week till then bye bye, ALLAH HAFIZ ❤
